Sara Stolfi is currently a PhD student in Chemistry at the University of Pavia. Her project is based on the mechanistic study of photocatalytic reactions on graphitic carbon nitrides in collaboration with Elettra synchrotron APE-HE beamline. Here she conducted a one-year internship as a research fellow starting from December 2021; her activity focused mainly on the study of heterogeneous catalysis and surface reactivity of catalysts by soft-XAS and using a specific reaction cell in operando conditions and at ambient pressure. She graduated with a master's degree in chemistry at the University of Trieste last May 21th, 2021 working on the synthesis and characterization of transition metal tungstates for the photoreduction of N2 to NH3. Before earning the master's degree with a study pathway in nanostructured and supramolecular materials and moving to Trieste, she received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Basilicata.
