The fil rouge of my research is the use of various electronic spectroscopies (mainly photoemission) for the study of correlated systems, in which the spin and electron degrees of freedom are strongly intertwined, ranging from well-known materials like metallic iron and transition-metal oxides up to novel materials with intriguing magnetic properties. My main activity at CNR-IOM has been the development, characterization and operation of a time-resolved photoemission apparatus with high-harmonic-generation (HHG) radiation source.
