Post doctoral fellow

Dr. Paola Delcompare is a postdoctoral researcher in the Italian National Research Council (CNR-IOM ) in Trieste. She did her undergraduate studies in physics in Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, during that period she also spent one year in Humboldt Universität zu Berlin to take complementary courses. She moved to The International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, Italy) in 2017 to complete the Postgraduate Diploma Programmme in condensed matter and statistical physics. And after that she got her Ph.D. in physics in the University of Trieste in 2022. Her research has been devoted to the study of hematite as a photocatalyst in the photoelectrochemical water splitting. She has mainly focused on the role of the solid-liquid interface on the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) both using density functional theory (DFT) and first principles molecular dynamics (FPMD).
