Organization

The Director acts as the legal representative of the Institute on behalf of CNR and coordinates the research activities, control the finances and research funds, and is in charge of the administrative and technical services. He relies on two advisory bodies: The internal Institute board, which comprises 9 staff members elected by the IOM personnel, and the external Scientific Advisory Council, nominated by the Director in agreement with the institute board.

The head of each secondary unit is in charge of the local organization including personnel, administrative, technical and safety issues.

The Administrative Secretary supervises the economic and financial resources of the whole Institute and works in close contact with the Director for planning the finances, budget, management, and administrative services.
